Long time no hear………..

Its been absolutely ages for which I apologize, but have been busy juggling work  and home refurbishments of which are still going on. The bathroom is nearly finished and also the living room. Mammoth fireplace taken out and a new less imposing is now all installed. Can’t wait to clean everything, have been living with dust for weeks! Just got back from a long weekend break to the German Christmas markets. Had a lovely time although Cologne was absolutely heaving, you couldn’t move which spoilt it. Bruges is lovely with some fantastic shops but unfortunately we only had an hour there on the way back to Calais.

Anyway the main reason for this post is to show some of the cards I had made for my digi disc I think going back to August. There is a new one based on the same lines with the toadstool houses and tree houses but with a christmas theme . Unfortunately I haven’t photographed them yet but  I and post the pictures as soon as my house is back in order.

The picture is not so clear but with this one I cut out a piece of acetate and laid it on the top of the picture to make it look as if you are looking through broken glass.

Digi samples continued

Hi all

Continuing the samples I made for my latest launch of digi stamps.

This card uses the frame, flowers and the butterfly digis. Everything is tinted using a grey copic/promarker pen.

I cut round the inside of the frame image and mounted over a stamped text.

The flowers cut out and layered to the bottom corner of the frame.

The butterflies mounted onto wire threaded  with beads.

This second card uses another frame and butterfly image

Cut using a scalloped circle die and coloured with copics. The seam binding ribbon was also coloured to match the flowers.

and some Glamour dust  to finish.

I’m in the process of having a good long over due clear out at the moment so thought I’d have a coffee and a 5 min breather doing this post.

Quick post…

tonight as my bed is calling.

This weeks card challenge at Scrapbook Sisters blog is ‘Bunting’.

For this challenge I have used the birds from one of my Christmas digi stamps to hold the bunting.

A very easy card to make consisting of die cut shapes for the background.

Glamour dust covered birds.

Scalloped edge triangles.

Punched and embossed flowers.

and a few hand drawn swirls. Done, sorted. You could change the colours of the papers to adapt to different occasions – gold tones for Golden wedding, reds for Valentines day & Ruby Wedding and so on.

Red,White & Blue

Is this weeks card challenge on the Scrapbook Sisters Blog and very fitting for a fantastic extended holiday weekend of celebrations. I wasn’t lucky enough to experience any of it London but watched most of it on the TV. I must say that the concert was outstanding. I’m glad I watched it on my own as I had the TV up full blast and was dancing round the living room to most of it. If anyone had seen me they would have thought I’d lost the plot!

Anyway this is my take on this weeks theme.

I drew the Union Jack onto the backing card and the butterflies and coloured with copics and tinted the edges with walnut distress ink.

The butterflies and flowers with ribbon are from my latest digi stamps. The blue paper and postcard stamp are from the ‘Portobello Road’ range from Papermania.

The wording is a Kaisercraft stamp. I used blue micro beads to accent the centres of the flowers  and over the postcard.

Seam binding ribbon coloured with a copic/promarker pen.

Butterflies and flowers cut out and the card assembled.

Don’t forget to enter a card into the challenge. Its lovely to see what everyone creates and gives inspiration to others.

Digis 3

Hi everyone. What a bleak Jubilee Sunday. Was aiming to visit the Garden Show today but didn't fancy walking round in this horrible drizzle, what a change from last weekend. Typical British Bank Holiday weather- Yuk! so I have decided to do another post and chill out with some crafting today.

This is the next set of cards I made using one of my flower digi stamps for my class at Scrapbook Sisters.

The shapes of the card are cut with various dies and stamped with text and the card tinted with distress inks.The flowers are coloured with copics, cut out and layered to give 3D effect and covered with glossy accents.

The butterfly added and again covered in glossy accents .

The second card is very simple just coloured flowers and layered with the message

Ranger black enamel dots for the centres of the flowers.

Anything goes…

is this weeks challenge over at Scrapbook Sisters Blog.

This card I made for a work colleagues sisters birthday so I’ve cheated a bit.

A very simple card to make – Spellbinders shape and cut and emboss punches for the flowers and leaves.

The flowers are punched from patterned and pearl papers and liquid pearls flower centres. 

The butterfly is stamped onto pearl  paper and coloured with distress inks.
